MARATHON RULES
Every cyclist who enjoys organized and recreational cycling events and is able to complete a 30 km, 50 km, 72 km or 147 km cycle ride is allowed to participate in the marathon.
Cyclists up to 14 years of age are only allowed to participate in the race if accompanied by their parents or someone aged 18 or older. Cycle helmets are compulsory.
On the 147 km course participants will ride in the closed group at the speed of 27 to 30 km/h. Maribor police will take care for order and safety of the group with removable traffic barrier. Cyclists will take a longer break in Mislinja.
Marathon will take place in any weather conditions, all roads will be open to traffic, so normal road rules and organizer instructions must be obeyed.
Marathon participants ride at their own risk and are liable for any damage they cause to themselves or other persons. The organizer accepts no responsibility for damage, which cyclists cause to themselves, other cyclists or to a third party.
During the race it is strictly forbidden to overtake the accompanying cars at the head of the group.
With the start each cyclist confirms that they are aware of the marathon rules, published in daily press and other media and at the event itself. Organizer with his cars, medical services and security officers will ensure the safety and security of the event.
